Gabions

Gabions, from the Italian word for cage, are strong containers filled with inorganic materials like rock, concrete, sand and soil and in certain architectural applications glass rock. These cages are constructed of site specific material including galvanized steel & PVC coated steel. They are designed to withstand all kinds of weather and site conditions and are known for their incredible versatility.

Gabions are very useful in civil engineering, military applications, road building, general landscaping elements, foundations, erosion control, and architectural elements. Some of the fastest growing applications of gabions include architectural fence and veneer construction and for stabilizing shorelines against erosion since they form flexible and permeable structures.
